What can I do?

  1. Ask friends and family for afternoon tea wearing a hat

  2. Have your Book reading meetings during hat week. Discuss a book on depression. A good selection is available:

  4. Encourage your primary school / high school teacher to do an activity with the children around Hat week to let them express what sadness means to them and what things make them happy.

  5. Remember not to leave home without a hat during Hat week.!

  6. Speak to the Principal at your school and suggest the children come to school in any hat for $ 1 donation. Make them aware off all the youth Websites available such as Sane, Black dog and beyond blue.

  8. Have a display at your local library or bank of the different kinds of hats we all wear at different times /occasions in our life.
