2007

The Blue Hat Studio was a ''drop in '' space for anyone who wants to express feelings through creative means.
The space was staffed by volunteers who were happy to share their skills in an informal way. People were encouraged to join in and make something.
The studio was open for 6 months during 2007.

There were materials such as Sinamay, paper, raffia, yarns and canvases for multi media or hat making available.

You could:
1. Make some art work by donation
2. Check out the books for reference
3. Pick up brochures of organizations dealing with mental illness

Blue Hat Project presents....fun and information packed community day in the vegout garden St Kilda. Come and join in the Dance, Music feltmaking, breadmaking and more. Discover some causes for happiness as you join in the fun! Sit and chat in an authentic Mongolian felt yurt or make an expression of your 'blues' hat in the Blue Hat Project textile studio or splash on some paint. Walk through the garden and learn from nature...when you look after the garden it produces wondrous things but one must weed the beds every so often not to choke the fruit...just as sometimes we must free ourselves of the worries of life.
