  2. The project started in 2005

  4. Because the expression of feelings through a creative medium and the use of mindfulness, nature and the practice of Eckhart Tolle helped the founder Waltraud Reiner to deal with her personal depression of her not disirable life situations at the time.

  6. It aims to connect people to themselves and others through creativity and being mindful within nature.


  7. How is it funded?
  8. At this point the project is funded by Torb and Reiner, and by donations.


  9. Where is the home of the project?
  10. The Blue Hat Project is undert the auspice of the www.ecocentre.com , a NOT for profit charity.


  11. How does it work?
  12. The project provides opportunities to connect and express oneself through creative projects.It offers infomal lectures and seminars around positive Phsychology,Eckhart Tolle and ACT ( Acceptance, Commitment Therapy)

  13. What happens at the Eco Centre?
  14. A variety of events and activities are being offered for people to join in. Some events have gold coin donation. Some events have a fee


  15. Does making things fix depression?
  16. No! but it allows expression and gives an opportunity to learn and understand the process and what one can do about its own happiness.


  17. Can Creativity prevent depression?
  18. Causes of depression are not exactly clear. The positive effect of creative expression are well known though and accepted as very useful technics for mental wellbeing. Also the use of positive phsychology and the practice of mindfulness in our daily go abouts and the connection to nature have shown postive effects. Causes for Happiness is something we ciltivate and practice, it is not something OTHERS do for us.
